Vote cast under tight security in Tamenglong repoll

Imphal, February 04, 2012:
Re-poll in four polling stations of Tamenglong to the 10th general Manipur Legislative Assembly Election went off peacefully in three polling stations.
However, re-polling at 54/9 Chakanlong (Tupul), tension ran high and scuffles took place among the voters.
To disperse the mob, security forces fired some round in the air and normal voting continued till late evening.
Details information is awaited.
People cast their votes under heavy security at 53/22 Duigailong polling station.
Security forces verified the voters before allowing them inside the polling station and cast the vote.
It is recorded that 401 voters cast their vote out of 518 total voters in which are 186 males and 215 females.
Re-polling at 53/3 Sonpram, people came out and cast their vote normally and it is recorded that out of 694 voters, 582 cast vote with 268 male and 299 females.
At 52/41 Azuram polling stations it is recorded that out of 588 total voters, 377 cast votes.
