Spurned candidates caution MPSC

Contending that a case is still pending in the Gauhati High Court, some candidates who failed to cross the preliminary examination of the Combined Competitive examination conducted by Manipur Public Service commission has asked the Commission to delay the proposed main examination for going ahead as scheduled would amount to defying an earlier ruling of the said court.
Speaking to newspersons at Manipur Press Club today, the spurned candidates contended that based on media reports, various anomalies in the preliminary examinations, including erroneous questions were pointed out through a petition before the Gauhati High Court.
With the court's directive to the MPSC for a clarification yet to evoke a positive response, going ahead with the proposed examination (mains) with not only be an affront to the Court but also stand to jeopardise careers of hundreds of candidates, opined the candidates and suggested that the main examination be put off till the case is settled.
It is said that result of the examination (prelims), conducted on September 11, 2011 was declared on September 24 of the same year while the main examination is scheduled for February 6 .
