Imphal, January 06: The Mao Students� Union has extended its warm greetings to the Mao community on the occasion of Chithuni celebration 2005.Chithuni which also signifies harvest feast/feast of the dawn /New Year feast is considered to be the biggest and best feast due to the following reasons pleasant climate, abundance of food and drink, the relaxed mood of the people, said the student body.

The Union also appreciated the Mao community, Nagaland for organising a mass celebration at Dimapur which is the first of its kind till date.
