Imphal, January 06: Tragedy struck a family at Moirang Khunou under Moirang PS today when three of its members were killed when a powerful bomb exploded at their courtyard today at about 4 pm.

The deceased have been named as Heisnam Apabi Devi wife of Rajen Singh of Moirang Khunou Nganu Leima Mamang and her niece Heisnam Lilybala (16) and nephew Heisnam Lokendra (13).The two children were siblings and their father is one Tomba.

Apabi Devi died while on the way to hospital at Imphal, while Lokendra passed away at JN hospital at about 7 pm.

Lokendra who suffered multiple skull injuries from the bomb blast was referred from RIMS to JN hospital.

Lokendra's sister Lilybala also passed away a short while later at RIMS hospital at about 8.50 pm.

Doctors said the girl could not be revived due to excessive bleeding.

A neighbour, Laishram Manisang fainted on seeing the tragedy and she is presently under care at RIMS hospital.

Family members said they do not know from where the bomb came as all were inside the rice mill run by the family at that time.

Only the three were outside when the blast occurred and when the family members rushed out they saw them lying in a pool of blood.
