Imphal, January 20 2009:
Commandant of 20 Assam Rifles provided financial assistance to one Sepoy Chung Se Haokip who had lost his leg during 1971 Indo-Pak war.
The beneficiary was identified during an interaction with various ex-servicemen in an ex-servicemen rally held on November 12 last year.
The same was promised to other beneficiaries as well and the it would be distributed in phase manner, said a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR(S) .
In another noble gesture, Commandant of 29 AR interacted with the youths of Leibi village and donated Rs 2000 in the Leibi Sports Meet.
The Commandant also encouraged the youths to participate in the upcoming recruitment rally at Pallel.
