CABINET OF the chief minister O Ibobi led SPF government today has approved to the creation 436 posts for the proposed establishment of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences upgrading the present JN Hospital, Porompat.
Officials said that the Cabinet held this evening at 3.30 pm has approved the proposal of the state health and family welfare department creation of the post for appointment of the manpower requirement of the JNIMS, Porompat and engagement of its faculty members.
The Cabinet has approved to the creation of a total of 49 posts of the faculty members of the institution and 387 different posts of grade III and IV, the source said.
Among the post of the faculty members agreed to the creation and appointment on consolidated pay on contract basis includes one post of director (Rs.90,000), 13 posts of professor of different faculties (Rs 80,000), 12 associate professor/readers (Rs 70,000) and 23 posts of assistant professor/lecturers (Rs 40,000) .
The consolidated pays are make with reference to the RIMS patterns, the source said adding that the pay scale of the RIMS is Rs 22,400-24,500 for the director, Rs 14,300-18,30013 for the professors, Rs 12,000 to 16,500 for the associate professor/readers and Rs 10,000-15,200 for post of assistant professor/lecturers.
Before the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister O Ibobi also visited the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital complex at Porompat and inspected the progress of the construction of the infrastructure of the upcoming JNIMS.
He was accompanied by officials of Health Department.
