SP capsules recovered from smashed car

Imphal, January 20 2009:
A SMALL arm along with demand letters of KCP(MC) and SP capsules was recovered from a vehicle meeting with an accident this evening at Kongba which surprised the people and security forces detailing there for frisking and checking.
The incident occurred at around 6.15 pm and the driver of the vehicle (Tata Indiaca MN-01M-5516) named RK Taibangsana (29) son of Brajamani of Kwakeithel Akham Leikai succumbed to injury at the spot before he was evacuated to the hospital.
Eyewitness accounts said that the vehicle was coming from Wangkhei side toward Kongba on the Imphal-Yairipok road this evening Conand when the security forces detailing at Kongba Bazar, the driver sped up his vehicle in a bid to escape from the security force who signaled to stop and hit to a banyan tree growing on the road at Kongba Wahengbam Leikai.
The driver sustained head injury in the accident and security personnel and people nearby at the time rushed to the spot and efforted to evacuate him to the hospital.
But he succumbed there before evacuating, the report said.
Later, when the security personnel conducted a search to the vehicle in presence of the gathering people, they discovered one demand letter of KCP (MC), one country made pistol, a gun license permitting to handle a double bore gun, four strips of SP capsule which one is empty.
