Imphal, June 07 2009:
The SFI, Manipur State Committee has claimed that it detected fake appointments made by one Haji Baniyamin in Education Department.
Speaking to media persons today, SFI State Committee secretary Salam Pari said that fake appointments in Education Department caused severe impedance to the efforts of bringing quality education in the
State.
He said that SFI have constituted a vigilance committee and that it has launched investigation into fake appointment cases.
So far the committee has detected that one Md Haji Baniyamin of Lilong Haoreibi Mayai Leikai gave appointment orders to three individuals using forged signature former Director of Education (S) Angousana.
Those who have been given fake appointments by Haji Baniyamin in 2006 included Haji's daughter Shilashini as LDC at Haoreibi Makha Leikai High Madrassa, his son Md Farooq as Primary teacher under ZEO Wangoi and Md Salim of Lilong Haoreibi Chingkham Makha Leikai at Khangtek Tera Makhong LP School.
Haji Baniyamin also duped Abdul Kalam of Lilong Dam and Md Sikandar Ali by giving forged appointment orders in September 2006 after taking money from the two.
Taking part in the press meet, Abdul Kalam said that Haji Baniyamin took Rs 1.5 lakhs from him on the assurance of a job.
As the appointment order given by Haji Baniyamin was found to be forged, Abdul Kalam asked the fraud to return the money back.
But Haji Baniyamin is still refusing to pay back the money.
Claiming that the SFI has compiled a report on individuals involved in fake appointments, Salam Pari said that the same report would be submitted to relevant Government officials.
