The Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has left for New Delhi today to have talks with the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on commencement of academic session of the Jawaharlal nehru institute of Medical sciences, Porompat.
The Chief Minister who also holds the Finance portfolio will also attend a meeting of State Finance Ministers to be presided by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on June 11 .
Informed sources said main purpose of the Chief Minister's sojourn to the National capital is to brief the new Union Health Minister with regard to the setting up of and start of academic session of the Porompat institute, construction activities of which were assessed during a recent visit by a team of Medical Council of India (MCI).
It is informed that the MCI team is supposed to furnish/forward report of its spot inspection of the construction works of the Institute to the Health Ministry on june 15 .
The source also confided that the other itinerary of the CM's visit include meeting the Union Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister Kamal Nath to convince the latter to review the Ministry's order for entrusting the task of development of the crucial nH-39 to the BRTF and hand over the same to the State Government.
