have condoled the sudden and untimely death of Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr S Budhichandra.
The State Cabinet has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Dr S Budhichandra, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, who passed away on September 30 at 3.05 am.
In a cabinet meeting held today at 4.30 pm in the Cabinet hall of the Chief Minister's Secretariat, where all members of the Cabinet attended, was acknowledged that during his tenure as the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Dr Budhichandra set high standards and exemplary precedents of maintaing the dignity of the House, Addl Chief Secretary said in the press release.
The Cabinet noted that his departure has created a void in the political arena of the state.The Cabinet observed two minutes silents to wish the departed soul to rest in peace.
Joint Director, Lok Sabha, Dachhbanta Samom has also expressed his heartfelt condolence on the sad and untimely demise of the Speaker of Manipur State Legislative Assembly, Dr S Budhichandra yesterday.
Members of Manipur Legislators' Forum on HIV/AIDS today conveyed condolence over the passing away of Dr S Budhichandra, who was also the chairman of the Forum.
The members and office bearers of the Forum expressed sharing the grief of the family of the departed Speaker.
Chairman of OBC, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, M Koba Meetei has also condoled the untimely death of Speaker Dr S Budhichandra.
General Secretary of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Manipur, MH Yaiphaba informed in a press release that the party held an emergency condolence meeting today and stood in silence for two minutes in honour of the departed leader, Dr Budhichandra.
His death would leave a vaccuum on the soil of Manipur's politics which can not be filled up, the press release said.
Lamshang Block Congress Committee, Bhartiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh, United NGOs Mission, Manipur, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Block Congress Committee, Manipur People's Party, Indian National Trade Union Congress, etc.
have also expressed deep sorrow over the death of Speaker Dr S Budhichandra.
Meanwhile, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Block Congress Committee, United NGOs Mission, Manipur, Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council, former Presiding Officers' Forum, Manipur, etc.
have also conveyed condolence over the sudden and untimely death of former Minister and Deputy Speaker, Z Mangaibou.
