The two day training programme on 'scientific rearing of Giri-raja' conducted by Department of Animal Sciences, CAU under the sponsorship of Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi concluded at University on September 30 .
A CAU release stated that the training programme attended by 18 educated youth, including four women, was conducted under the project entitled 'Giriraja rearing and propagation for socio-economic upliftment of Scheduled Castes families of Imphal East district'.
Different topics related to the economy of Giriraja rearing, scientific method of hatching, brooding, management of layer grower, feeding and prevention of diseases were delivered by subject experts during the training period, which was inaugurated with Director of Research Prof M Ruhinikumar Singh and Dean of College of Agriculture, CAU Prof N Iboton as the chief guest and president respectively.
