After the incident, a team of heingang police station arrived to inquire the situation and reportedly summoned members of the local meira paibi association and two younger brothers of W Inaocha to report at the police station tomorrow.
Alleging Sanahal's role in the kidnapping of two other youngsters about two years back, the agitated women folk said the locals had been waiting for Sanahal's return to home to seek clarification on the two kids.

However, it came to light the next morning that Mocha is in police custody, they said adding that a team of Imphal East district police picked up W Inaocha's neighbour Waikhom Doren s/o Iboyaima last night but released today morning.
Peeved with an innocent person like W Doren being picked up by the police, the locals demanded an explanation from W Inaocha's family but found none of them at home which led to the agitated womenfolk deciding to dismantle the house suspecting foul play.
The three recently kidnapped children have been identified as Takhellambam Kishan (15) s/o T Thambou of Heingang Awang Leikai, Pungsumbam Mocha (15) s/o P Sarat of Achanbigei Mayai Leikai and Thokchom Dinesh (15) s/o Th Amusana of Achanbigei Awang Leikai.

As Th Mocha is also a Meitei pung artiste, Kishan and P Mocha are close to Th Mocha, the locals confided.
As per revelation of family members of the three missing boys, Th Mocha had confessed of escorting the trio upto Kangla Western Gate on october 12 morning on the insistence of W Sanahal alias Purno.
While Th Mocha along with the three other 15 year old kids were near the Kangla Gate a white colour Maruti car with Sanahal and an unidentified person picked the four and headed towards Iroisemba before halting at the residence an individual, who is also a Meitei Pung artiste, the family members quoted Th Mocha.
Suddenly, Sanahal whipped out a small arm (pistol) and confined Th Mocha inside the car while the three kids were taken inside the house by the driver.
After the driver returned, Sanahal alighted from the vehicle and Th Mocha was dropped back to his rented quarter, they recounted and stated till date whereabouts of the three teenage boys remain unknown.
