Imphal, May 10 2009:
An outhouse reportedly used by Sorengshangbam Shantikumar (28) as a place for selling liquor and drugs has been dismantled by the irate people of Naorem Leikai, Liwa Road this morning.
The people have been already infuriated on learning that Shantikumar was involved in the abduction of Khwairakpam Megha of Naorem Leikai.
The seizure of SP capsules from one Md Islamuddin (29) s/o Nizam of Lilong Yangbi Leikai added fuel to the people's fury.

Islamuddin came in a Maruti van asking for Shantikumar this morning.
As the local people were keeping a vigil over Islamuddin, their suspicion was aroused all the more when he asked for Shantikumar.
On questioning and frisking, 144 SP capsules were seized from the possession of Shantikumar.
Learning that Islamuddin was supplying drugs to Shantikumar, Islamuddin was thrashed a few times before he was handed over to AMADA.
After that, the people realised that Shantikumar was using his outhouse as a drug point as well as a liquor vendor.
Soon after, the infuriated crowd pulled down the outhouse.
But no further untoward incident ensued as a police team arrived and mollified the agitated locals.
Megha was abducted by two off-duty commando personnel in connivance with Shantikumar and Sanathoi on May 6 .
All four of them are currently under police custody.
