THE UNITED Committee Manipur (UCM) has formed 'VIIIth The Great June Uprising Day, 2009 Committee and eleven sub-committees for the successful observance of VIIIth The Great June Uprising Day, 2009 to commemorate the loss of 18 lives on June 18, 2001 at Kekrupat here.
Kh Nilamani Kha-Nganba, the information and public relations secretary of UCM stated in a press release that the sub-committees have been formed for the observance of The Great June Uprising Day, 2009 during a meeting held at 1 pm on Sunday at the UCM Office located at Lamphelpat after participants of the meeting � UCM Central Committee, component organisations, subsidiary organisations, affiliated organisations, units, and various likeminded organisations' leaders � decided to observe the Day as in previous years.
The President of UCM, Yumnamcha Dilipkumar, Vice-President Yumnam Nabachandra, and Warepam Second have been appointed as the observance committee Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Convenor respectively, the UCM statement informed.
Meanwhile, Joykumar Mangang and RK Bino Devi have been appointed as Mobilisation Sub-Committee Convenors while BM Yaima Shah and Irengbam Shyamo have been appointed as the Finance Sub-Committee convenor and co-convenor respectively.
Kh Nilamani Kha-Nganba and N Jiban were the convenor and co-convenor of the publicity sub-committee respectively while RK Manisana and M Jack Asong Kom were the convenor and co-convenor of the transport sub-Committee.
The programme Sub-Committee convenor is N Deva Meetei and the co-Convenor is S Jiban while the convenor of Field and Stage Convenor is A Arun and its co-convenor is Arket Wangkhem.
Areng Zatak Chiru has been appointed the Community and Presidium Members sub-committee convenor while Martyrs Family Relation sub-committee convenor is Kh Anandi.
The convenor of Reception Sub-committee is E manileima and its co-convenor as M Rasheshwori while the Medical, Emergency Crisis Management and Water Sub-committee convenor is Iqbal, the statement stated.
Kh Nilamani also appeals the government of Manipur to assist for the successful observance of the Day at Kekrupat while also appealing the people of the state to cooperate and extend assistance for the success of the observance programme.
