Imphal, October 30 2009:
Irate residents of Lilong in Thoubal district have stormed the Lilong Police Station today and blocked Imphal-Moreh road passing through the locality on alleged charge of negligence to a complaint lodged with the police station over a missing case.
Md.Shahjahan (27) son of Md.Abdul Salam of Lilong Turel Ahanbi Upak Thong and his friend Laishram Boitu alias Ibungo sonof (L) Ibotombi of Keishampat Kangjam Leikai, Imphal went missing yesterday after they drove out for a work.
Family lodged a missing complain with the Lilong Police yesterday.

According to family members, Md.Shajahan dropped his father, who is an ASO at Settlement Office, Lamphelpat, to office yesterday in a Maruti Car bearing registration no DL-3C-0182.Shajahan went out with his friend after dropping his father.
He was said to have informed his family members through phone that he will go to a work with his friend, Boitu.
They were seen going to Babupara area together.
Waheda, elder sister of Shahjahan said she had seen her brother and his friend going to the 28 AR post located near Lilong police station yesterday around 9am.They were also seen coming out together from the camp with some AR personnel.
Shahjahan was also said to have relation with the Major of the AR posted there.
Sensing negligence on the part of the Lilong Police on the missing case of Shahjahan and his friend, irate locals have today stormed the police station and blocked the Imphal-Moreh road.
A sit-in-protest was also staged today from 8am.Front glass of a Maruti car (MN-04-5037) which tried to negotiate the road for attending a marriage ceremony was smashed by protestors.
Passengers from Imphal towards Thoubal walked past Lilong from Thongkhong to Lilong Tairen and vice-versa.
According to press source, a team led by SDPO of Thoubal, OC of Lilong police, and members of Lilong Zilla Parishad including a Mourubi have met the post commander of the 28 AR post at Lilong.
The AR Major was said to have informed them that the two persons were at an Army camp somewhere in Churachandpur district.
