All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has closed down four job consultancy centres for allegedly duping many individuals with 'false promise of providing jobs.
Addressing a press conference at its headquarters yesterday, AMSU HRD Secretary Dipanjit Ningthoujam said the students body has received many complaints from various quarters regarding false promise made by these job centres.
He urged the job centres run under All Manipur Job Centre Association to submit the related documents for the jobs they have provided to different individuals for verification at llam on June20.AMSU also urged the job centres not to open offices before completion of verification.
He also announced that Universal Unemployed Job Centre, Moirangkhom, World-wide Information Job Centre, Konung Mamang, Unique Job Information and Placement Agency, Wahengbam Leikai and Pious Lofty Job Information Centre, Lalambung have been closed down for allegedly duping many individuals.
The students' body also asked these job centres to refund all the amount taken from different persons.
