The activities were designed in a manner that children should learn with fun and at the same time give a much desired break from the hectic schedule of studies after the exams.
The camp offered the student's time for enjoyment and "Work hard and play hard," was one of the principal teachings of the camp which was well absorbed by the children.
The camp was jointly requested by the community leaders in a Seminar organized by the Sector on 12 May 10 that a "Peace Camp" be org for the children of Churachandpur from different schools & tribes.
This would bring them on a common platform where they could interact with each other for better understanding & bonding.
Each day of the camp was based on a theme like 'Adventure in the clouds' which involved the participants in trekking, working on group dynamics and sports, similarly 'Know your Forces' and 'Talent Hunt' were also part of the camp.
'Know your Forces' gave an insight to the students of the life in forces and included a motivational movie, equipment display, tent pitching exercise, demonstration on survival skills and self cooking.
'Talent Hunt' included First Aid tips, essay writing, painting, sketching, skit competition and collage making competition.
The camp concluded on 17 June with a camp fire which was attended by the principals of the respective schools and civil dignitaries.
The camp fire was lighted with a lot of cheer from the children and included a small talk by students on Peace and development in unity, a brief on the camp, a cultural show, distribution of prizes culminating with dinner.
