Communication gap between the government and co-operative is the main reason behind the dying of the later, observed MLA I Hemochandara speaking at the concluding function of the three day long leadership development programme held at the ICM, conference hall, Lamphel yesterday.
The programme was organized by Institute of Co-operative Management, Imphal in collaboration with National Federation of Labour Co-operative Limited, New Delhi with the financial assistance from the National Centre for Co-operative Education (NCYI), New Delhi.
The concluding function was graced by MLA, I Hemochandra as chief guest in which additional registrar of the Co-operative N Jugeshwor presided.
Director of NCUI GS Azad and ICM chairman Kh Borkishor also attended the function as guest of honours.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA I Hemochandra observed that there is a gap of communication between the leaders of the co-operative societies.
With this reason behind, societies are dying.
Leaders of the societies need to participate in such training programmes and earn knowledge as efficient and skin leadership is needed for the development of a co-operative society, he said.
Possessing leadership quality and sincere man is the essence developing and marching ahead the co-operative movement as the duty of the leaders are to works for the development of the society as well doing benefits for the people.
People of Manipur are lack of sense of togetherness.
Numerable numbers of leaders sometimes created problems, he further observed adding that to set target will help in making advancement of the co-operative movements in the state.
Guest of honuor JS Azad said that the programme is the beginning and the first step of development of co-operative societies.
Many programme are getting ready.
He urged to remind the authority as a part of consultant for taking various programmes for the development of the societies.
Societies should try to avail the facilities and benefits of various programmes and scheme with each leader tried their best to become a qualified leader.
