Moreh, November 07 2009:
Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh has warned of not allowing any official to visit the Integrated Check Post (ICP) affected land pattadars of Moreh until sanction order for the compensation of the affected pattadars is issued.
According to an HTC memorandum submitted to the Commissioner of Commerce and Industries, jointly signed by the president of HTC, Jangmang Haokip and its general secretary, Ginsei Lhungdim, the HTC will disallow any official visiting the ICP at Moreh until the compensation sanction order is issued to the affected pattadars.
"Much has been said and nothing done about the Integrated Check Post at Moreh, Promises to compensate the ICP affected land pattadars poured every time concerned officials from New Delhi arrive in Moreh, it noted.
Stating that the people are fed up of hearing hollow promises of the visiting officials, the memo observed that the officials would do much better to end their excursion/tour to Moreh, in the guise of spot inspection of ICP.
"Now, it is learnt from reliable sources that, another visit by central officials' team is being scheduled on November 9.If the visit is to materialize, they should come along with sanction order.
Otherwise, we are no longer in the mood to receive them.
We have decided enough is enough, there is no more time for speculation and another inspection,"
it stated.
