Imphal, November 07 2009:
The Central Committee of the militant group, United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) has greed the people of Manipur on its first raising day anniversary observed on November 6 .
A statement issued by the party's Central Committee extended revolutionary greetings to armed groups, UNLF, RPF, KYKL, PREPAK and KCP.
The outfit also greeted the KNO, UKLF, KNF, ZRO, UKRA, KLO, KRA, ZDV, HPC (D), PULF, MNRF and SPLO who are fighting for preservation and promotion of their ethnic identities.

Introspecting into the 30 years of armed revolution movement in Manipur, the UPPK observed that the increasing reservation against the movement, waning trust of people in the movement and disapproval of the movement are clear indications that something is seriously wrong in the armed movement and it needs immediate rectification.
Fathers of revolution, Karl Marx, Lenin and Mao said, "Act after knowing, don't act without knowing", the outfit quoted while questioning the meaning of the word 'knowing' in this context.
Stating that it's time for introspection and retrospection, the outfit emphasised the need for parties/organisations waging revolution to put forth clearly their goal, destination and manifesto (written and unwritten) to the people as well as the roads they are taking to achieve their goal.
For instance, the revolutionary parties should be clear whether they are advocating democracy, nationalism, socialism or communism.
They should have the capacity to convince the people that their 'way to goal' is pragmatic.
The political struggle would be incomplete if any of these dimensions are missing.
For instance, it would be incomplete if some parties are saying that independence/sovereignty is the end.
Some other parties said that they would let the people choose the political system that would be adopted in sovereign Manipur.
But the right path should be launching the revolutionary movement after informing the public and coming to an understanding about the goal and political system being pursued by the movement right from the very initial stage, the outfit asserted.
Observing that most of the revolutionary parties did not launch revolutionary movements with active participation of the public, the UPPK said that all these blunders need rectification.
People's trust enjoyed by the armed movement today is quite different compared to the trust people put in the armed movements during the time of Irabot, Meitei State Committee, RGM, PREPAK under Tullachandra and PLA under Bishesor.
Noting that this is disappointing, the UPPK traced the waning people's support to revolutionary groups acting against the collective wish and will of the people.
As for the KP Army/UPPK, the party has decided to initiate a rectification process with immediate effect.
Today's political entities like the USA and India did not exist at one point of time in history, it observed while noting that history has its impacts on revolution/sovereignty and is necessary in a revolutionary movement.
However, historicity and its authenticity cannot guarantee sovereignty.
The most important thing is making the revolutionary movement a popular one, participated by the mass.
Mao said, "90 percent of the revolutionary movement is accomplished on the day the movement is accepted by the people", the outfit quoted while asserting that once the people accepts the revolutionary movement in Manipur, other countries and the UNO would also acknowledge it.
History is testimony to this fact.
But when the revolution is rejected by larger majority of the people, it would be impossible to achieve success despite all efforts to gain recognition and support from foreign countries and the UNO or similar international bodies.
Observing that all successful revolutions enjoyed massive people's support, the outfit cited the cases of China, Vietnam, East Timor etc.
However, the case of Kangleipak is contradictory for the moment.
Manipur can never extricate itself from the corrupted, capitalist and discriminatory system of India as long as it remains within India.
As such, UPPK has conceded that the objective of keeping some departments uncorrupted and abolition of corruption from the soil of Manipur is misplaced and irrational.
