Imphal, November 07 2009:
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is in a dilemma and not being able to deposit the amount for giving land compensation to the Govt of Manipur in connection with construction of the Rail Fed Depot as the latter has not yet identified the 'Zero Point' (the site where the railway station is to come up in Imphal) of the railway route from Jiribam to Imphal via Tupul.
The Deputy General Manager of IOC, North East Integrated Station, Guwahati is learnt to have communicated with the General Manager of North Frontier Railways to let the Corporation know the location of the 'Zero Point' of the Imphal Railway Station so that construction work on the Rail Fed Depot could be started along with depositing the necessary land compensation amount to the Govt of Manipur.
