Talking to this reporter, Priyobarta said, "I'm happy as I'm the headmaster of this newly constructed school and it's a dream come true for me.
I was not in good spirit at all when the condition of this school having upto standard VIII was in bad shape.
"When I heard the report that Rs 1.5 lakhs has been sanctioned for constructing a separate room of our school by the Government under the Sarbha Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme, I had made up my mind to donate the required (additional) cost to construct a new school with three rooms," he added.
Later he donated Rs 1.3 lakhs to the village education committee to construct the school, Priyobarta said, adding that with the amount sanctioned under the SSA, a total estimated cost of Rs 2.6 lakhs were incurred in constructing the new school that has around seventy students.
"It took around two months to complete construction of the school building including its main entrance gate,", he informed.
Priyobarta has been serving in the school since 1986 .
Stating that grooming children to become perfect citizens of the nation is his firm determination, Priyobarta said that he has also been bearing the fees of his students since the last nine years.
With similar vision to bring about a value based education in the village up to matriculation level, wife of Priyobarta is running a private school in the village.
