Imphal, November 27 2009:
The state Art and Culture department, in collaboration with the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata, will organise a two-day tribal folk dance festival on November 28 and 29 at the Cultural Complex located at Palace Compound, a DIPR release informed.
Eight tribal communities all over India will showcase their folk dances during
the festival.
The festival will be inaugurated tomorrow at 4pm.The inaugural function will be graced by the state Art and Culture Commissioner, P Bharat; State member of EZCC, Kolkata Dr Kamkhenthang and state member of NEZCC, Paojairung Thaimei as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively, it added.
