THE ALL Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj today observed the 28th Meira Paibi Day at the Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen at Hapta Kangjei-bung

President of the Samaj, K Taruni, president of All Manipur Tammee-Chingmee Apunba Nupi Lup, S Momon Leima, president of Kabui Mothers' Associaition, Kakomlulung Kamei, president of Momnu Erik Khombi, Ak Janaki, former MP, Kim Gangte and president of United Manipuri Muslim Women's Association, Sitara Begum sat on the dais as presidium members.
Former president of Macha Leima, Kh Ibetombi and advisor of CADA, Joy Nongmaithemcha spoke as resource persons on the occasion.
All speakers expressed their desire or all the women's bodies and Meira Paibi organisations to work together as one.
K Taruni said that it was time for all the women's bodies to work together to stop the unabated killings.
By organising different observances, the problems that the people are facing can not be solved.
If all the women's organisations join hands, there is nothing that could not be achieved, she said.
Former MP, Kim Gangte said, the women's bodies should realise the divide and rule policies being adopted by the Ministers and MLAs by handing out some charcoals and erecting some Meira Shang.
