A joint meeting of the Ministers, Chief Secretary, Commissioners and Heads of Departments helkd this evening with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh in the chair has reviewed the NLCPR and NEC funded schemes being implemented in the State.
It is said that of the total Rs 677.84 crores approved by the Centre for 67 projects under the NLCPR, the DONER Ministry has released Rs 350.60 crores.
But so far only Rs 238.30 crores have been able to utilise.
Out of the remaining unutilise amount of Rs 112.30 crores, Rs 34.9 crores is for Health, Rs 24.8 croes for PHED, Rs 14.44 crores for Works, Rs 12.87 crores for Power, Rs 6.69 crores for School Education, Rs 2.31 crores for Veterinary and Rs 2.21 crores for MI.
On the other hand, out of the total funding from NEC, a sum of Rs 23.56 crores has been lying unutilised.
This include Rs 16.38 crores of Works, Rs 4.35 crores of Poer an Rs 1.30 crores of Halth Department.
Taking serious note of the slow pace of utilising the funds, the Chief Minister has given necessary instructions to all concened for effective and speedy utilisation of the allocated fund during the meeting today.
Today's meeting was convened ahead of the annual meeting of the NEC to be held at New Delhi on Janaury 7, 2009 .
