In what could be most tragic fire burned incident in Manipur, three minor siblings were charred to dead.
The incident occurred at Maram Centre in Senapati district last night at about 8.15 pm.
The three victimswere daughters and son of Kabu Maram of Maram Khullen, serving in Nagaland police as IRB.
He was not at home at the time of occurrence of the tragic incident at his rented house at Maram Centre where his wife and children are staying.
The two deceased daughters were identified as 9-year old Kavita Khaisty and 5-year old Ningting Jenifer while the victim son was identified as 7-year old Hengkung Justin.
All the victim children were students of Don Bosco High School, Maram Centre.
Kavita studied at Standard-IV and Hengkung at Standard-I while Ningting was in Kg-I.Two other children, the eldest and youngest were saved by the mother who was with the children at the rented house when the fire broke out.
Their mother Haibira could not save her three children despite her best effort.
Her struggle with the fire could save the youngest son who was sleeping together at a room with other children.
The mother sustained burn injury while struggling with the fire but not seriously, police said.
The fire which police estimated breaking out from a lighting candle in the house sprung in uncontrollable away when a LPG gas cylinder blasted.
The house was totally gutted before police fire tenders and villagers rushed to douse the flame.
Last night fire burnt incident could be the most tragic fire burnt incident occurred in Manipur in the last around one year.
