Acting on the complaint of one Panganbam Arunkumar of Kongba Uchekon that the BSNL authorities had refused to provide a PCO connection for the last one year and a half despite repeated applications and fulfilling all necessary requisites, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum had on December 28 last year, asked the Deputy General Manager BSNL to make a PCO connection to the complainant within five days.
The Forum presided by Dr Ch Narendra also asked the BSNL to give compensation to the complainant Rs 500 each for every month from April 13 last year till the date of passing the judgement which amounted to Rs 10,000.It also directed to pay the cost of the complaint of Rs 1000.Both the compensation and cost should be paid to the complainant within a month through the Forum, it mentioned.
