The public meeting held today in the face of the Cabinet decision of amalgamating the indigenous religion, Sanamahi, with the Govindajee Temple Board under the auspices of the Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup (UKAL) has resolved to urge the authority to roll back the decision within March 7.
The meeting also resolved to launch intense agitation if the decision is not rolled back by March 7.Among others, the public meeting has also decided to oppose the cabinet decision of amalgamating indigenous religion to Govindaji Temple Board, to urge the all concerns to roll back the cabinet decision within March 7 and to submit representation to all the 60 MLAs in this regard; to launch strong agitation if no action is taken within March 7; and to detach the indigenous religion affairs with the Govindaji Temple Board, are the resolutions adopted today.
