To be believed or not Thingtudbung village of Tousem SubDivision of Tamenglong district is among ill-fated remote villages where no government facilities was found except National Rural Employment Guarantee Schemes, NREGS .
Thingtudbung village is a Kuki village located under Tousem police station some 12 kilometres from Kaiphundai Naga village on NH 53 .
There are many such remote villages in Tamenglong district where there was hardly development no education institute, no electricity, no health facility and no gazette officer had ever visited the villages.
People there are survived themselves with their sweat and resource.
While talking to this reporter Haolal, Secretary of Thingtudbung Village Authority said their Thingtudbung village was neglected by state government particularly the district administration.
"We did not have any government facilities like IAY, schools, electricity, health facilities nor water supply and other schemes from the government except NREGS", Haolal said.
Haolal also said that no vehicles can penetrate the 12 kilometres from NH 53 to Thingtudbung village.
Their houses were all temporary made of bamboo and thatch roofing.
However, this year the district administration award one IAY scheme to one villager, he said.
Commenting the neglected village of Thingtudbung by the district administration one nearby village chairman, Isaac Gangmei said there was no tin roofing found at Thingtudbung village.
Their living condition too was very poor, no electricity and no school, he said.
This village is facing untold suffering as there was no school in the village and no school was there in nearby villages and no health facility here at Thingtudbung village, he said.
There are many other remote boarder villages like Kadi, Lemta, Dunong, Makuinong, Katangnam, Illeng villages facing untold suffering due to government apathy.
