Two women and a man were held while carousing at a rented room of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai by the local Meira Paibis and the club volunteers yesterday at around 7:30 pm.
Later the triplet were handed over to AMADA.
It is reported that one of the women has been staying at the rented room after she divorced from her husband following his second marriage.
Yesterday the man was called to come with liquor.
Accordingly, the man came with liquor (Indian made foreign liquor) to the rented room of Jamuna.
There three of them were drinking and having meat.
After a while, all three of them were apprehended by Meira Paibis and club volunteers and handed over to AMADA.
It is reported that the local people had inkling against them indulging in such immoral activities since some time back.
The AMADA leaders said that they would be handed over to their family members.
Yet they were warned of initiating befitting actions against them according to the practice of AMADA if they indulge in such activities again.
Meanwhile, volunteers of Lilong Noori Bazar AMADA Local Unit acting on a specific information lay in ambush for Md Altaf Hussain alias Yaibi (30) of Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai But Altaf fled away leaving behind the Activa.
The volunteers found 180 strips of SP tablets in-side the Activa bearing registration number MN-05-B-1332.However there were no vehicle documents.
The AMADA unit has warned Altaf and the vehicle owner to come to AMADA headoffice with original documents of the vehicle within October 4 adding that afterwards no complaints would be entertained.
