The five day long Gan-Ngai festival, the biggest festival of Kabui's concluded today.
Exchange of gifts and dance items of married women of the community marked the last day of the festival.
The Sangaiporou Kabui village in Imphal west district concluded the festival started from November 29 with a function graced by deputy chairman of the state planning board, MLA Bijoy Koijam.
MLA, Sapam Kunjeshwor (Keba) presided over the function which DC, Impha west DC, member of Zilla Parishad and leaders of Patsoi Kendra Development Committee also attended.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bijoy Koijam said that the celebration of the festival will bring peace and prosperity among the Kabui community and help in strengthening harmony with other communities.
Kabuis worship sanamahi as same to that of Meetei.
That is why this, two community are very close to each other.
He also donated Rs 30,000 to the organising committee of the festival.
The concluding function was marked by presentation of dance items of the Kabuis and a grant luncheon.
Nari Kalyan Samiti, Waheng Khuman and United NGO Misison, Manipur also presented gifts of cloths and other eatables to the Terapokpi Kabui village in Bishnupur district on the occasion today.
A function held in connection with the presentation of chief was graced as president by village elder, K Manimana and secretary of Nari Kalyan Samiti, L Malaya as chief guest.
