In connection with the news report on April 20 regarding arrest of RPF imposters by the State police, RPF today asked others involved in the case to surrender to outfit immediately.
Speaking to media-persons in Thoubal district today, spokesman of RPF's Div I Central Bureau clarified that the three imposters arrested by State police on April 20 are not in any way connected with the outfit.
The imposters were identified as Laishram Lemba (19) of Sekmaijin Mamang Leikai, Salam Dipin (19) of Sekmaijin May ai Leikai and Loutrakpam James of Langthabal Phuramakhong.
Elaborating on circumstances leading to the arrest of the three, the spokesman informed that they were apprehended by the locals of Mayang Im-phal and later handed over to police on April 20 while the trio were trying to recover money from a person on behalf one Shashikanta of Langthabal Phuramakhong.
Sriashikanta had hired the trio to recover his wife's money from a person who had borrowed it from her, he alleged.
The spokesman also asked all four involved in the case to surrender to the outfit before May 10.
