Health & Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat has stated that Manipur can become a developed State only when the loan beneficiaries cultivate the habit of returning the loan amount taken from the Government and other private financial sectors.
�So, in the interest of development of he State all of us should cultivate the habit of returning the loan amount taken in time�, the Minister said while inaugurating a two-day Manipur State conference on �Bank in a globalised world� being jointly organised by All Manipur Bank Employees� Association and All Manipur Co-operative Bank Employees� Federation at Nupi Lan complex here today.
The Minister pointed out that in order to bring about development in any States, it is essential to have good relation between the banks and the people.
owever, in case of Manipur, it seems there is a big gap in the relation between the banks and the people.
This is really unfortunate, the Minister said.
It is high time to find out the cause of this gap, the Minister said, while observing that the banks are there in the first place for the welfare of the people.
But lack of co-operation from the side of the people has impeded the functioning of the banks.
This is one of the main reason of the existing gap in the relation between the banks and the people, he noted.
All those who spoke during the inaugural function presided over by the president of All Manipur Bank Employees Association Th Tombi Singh also emphasised on the need to step the banking system and movement in the State.
On the first day of the conference Dr N Mohendro, Dr M Nara and Sanamani Yambem spoke on different topics as penal speakers and afterward facilitated a discussion session along with the participants.
