The Ministry of Textile which had suspended the Japanese Govt funded Sericulture Project set to come up in the State may yet revoke its suspension decision, said a well placed source today adding that a meeting of the Ministry of Textile was held today to discuss the issue.
The project is to be financed by the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation.
The source said that a meeting between officials of the Textile Ministry and State Govt officials was held at Udyog Bhawan to discuss the status of the project.
The State Govt was represented by (Thief Secretary Jarnail Singh, Sericulture Secretary RK Nimai and Director Debabratta, said the source adding that after discussing the technical aspects of the project, it was decided to consult the Central Silk Board at Mysore between December 13 and 15 to take a final decision.
