Following the first meeting of the Kangla Board on November 27, the State Govt has decided to allow the public to visit the historic Fort everyday from 9 am till 3 pm.
Visitors can enter the Kangla only from the Western gate while the two Northern gates will be kept permanently locked for security reasons.
The Southern gate will be opened only for official use.
Issuing an order to this effect, the- Government said that after three months, entry fees will be charged as fixed by the Board and added that officials of the Department of Arts and Culture will be posted at the Western Gate to identify the visitors.
Meanwhile a well placed source said that plans are afoot to instal Kanglasha inside the Fort as was previously done.
