Imphal, December 02:
Altogether 56 employees of the Fish Farmers' Development Agency set up under the Fisheries Department have been left high and dry as their pay and salaries have not been paid since the month of May.
The employees said that their pay is to be released by the Fisheries Department while the funds for imparting training to the fish farmers are sanctioned by the Centre.
However since May this year they have not received their pay and salaries, they said and added that the Government had released their pay to the Department for May but no one knows what has happened to this amount released by the Govt. The FFDA employees said that though employees of other Government Departments have been launching strikes and agitations over their unpaid salaries, they have been faithfully carrying out their duties sincerely all this while.
