Longchai concerned over influx of outsiders

Imphal, January 28: The Longchai villagers under Tamenglong district have expressed resentment over the influx of other non-land owners into the village jurisdiction for settling.

According to village headman Pantilung Gonmei, other villagers and even from Assam border are influxing into the Longchai village area which is highly condemnable.He stated that the Longchai villagers would not accept those �immigrants� into the village area and urged them to get out of the village juridiction at the earliest.

He further warned that stern action would be initiated against those people if they do not get out of themselves from the Longchai village jurisdiction immediately.

Pantilung Gonmei also alleged that some new villages had been set to form in the village jurisdiction.
