Lamka, January 28:
The Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) in a statement issued yesterday accused UNLF of pursuing divisive tactics among various tribal communities and claimed that their action contradicts to principle of peaceful co-existence.
Rather, the statement claimed they were peeved for spreading false propaganda.
Justifying, what it termed as, tribals repeated cry for justice the statement alleged that a banned outfit like the UNLF/MPAs claimed to have managed the affairs of neglected tribals, clearly shows how the tribals were victimised and marginalized, besides being disgraceful for the Govt.Being coercively occupied and living under the diktats of UNLF, the effected village chiefs reportedly send SOS message to UPA chairperson and the Prime Minister of India and even to the Government of Mizoram, appealing them to intervene and providing security, the statement asserts.
Under such circumstances ZRA/ZRO can no longer remain a mere spectator, it adds.
In the light of the observation that peace and development was impossible unless the tribals enjoyed complete self-governance, the ZRA signed agreement with the Indian Government and not a military accord to destabilised any other revolutionary group, he statement claimed.
