Imphal, April 26: The Kuki Revolutionary Army has today claimed that Kamsei Khongsai who was shot dead by security personnel was an innocent man and added that he was picked up by the KNA along with the Assam Rifles personnel without any reason.

In a statement, the outfit said that the deceased and another youth Lunchungnung Chongloi of Molkon bazar were picked up by the KNA men and Assam Rifles men.

Another youth whose identity is not yet known was also picked up, it claimed and added that though Kamsei Khongsai has turned up dead, the whereabouts of the other two are still not known.

Stating that Kamsei and the other two are not in way related to the KRA, the outfit said that the youths had in fact come to Saikul to take part in the recently concluded sports festival organised by the KSO, Saikul.
