Imphal, April 26:
Protesting the failure of Medical Department authority in releasing their salary, employees of the department, including doctors staged a wild-cat strike at the Directorate office today.
However, after a meeting with the Director the peeved employees are reported to have resumed normal duty.
The salaries, according to informed source, could not be cleared due to non encashment of pay bills despite clearance from the Treasury office.
Giving details, the source said the pay bills numbering around 30 were submitted in phased manner on April 18, 19 and 20 with the Treasury Office subsequently passing the bills.
