Imphal, April 26: A 37 year old man identified as Lunkhomang alias Mangnom (37) son of Lureithang of Tuilaphai, and residing at Teiseng, was killed at an isolated place near the Lamka cemetery today.

Sources said that three men were seen moving towards the site of the incident at around 6 am today.

However after a gunshot was heard only two of them were seen moving away.

It is said that the victim was still breathing when some people including a handful of local pressmen arrived at the scene.

The police at picked-up the body at about 7.30 am and deposited it at the District hospital morgue.

Meanwhile the identity of the man who was found dead yesterday evening has been established as one Mangkholun Haokip alias Manglun (37) S/o Jangthong of Jaolen Village.

Mangkholun had left home for marketing at around 10 am yesterday said an FIR filed by his wife at the police station.

It may be noted merely six hours before Mangkholun�s body was recovered near the Khuga river beside Canan Veng, Tuibuang, (not B.Phaicham as reported earlier) another dead body has been recovered about 100 metres away.
