Imphal, May 20: An activist of PREPAK VC- faction was reportedly arrested by personnel of 33 AR and Thoubal District Police Commandos during a combined operation launched under the supervision of Thoubal SP in different parts of Kakching Khunou area early morning today.

The arrested underground activist has been identified as Oinam Charlie alias Sidaba (25) s/o Ibotomba of Oinam Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district, according to police source.

The army number of the arrested activist is 130325, the source said.

The source further informed that the search operation was conducted following specific information of the underground elements present in the area.

While the others managed to escape, Charlie landed up into the hands of the police, the source added.

Meanwhile, Imphal West District Police Commandos have apprehended another PREPAK activist during frisking near State Guest House at around 11 am today, according to a statement issued by SP of Imphal West Clay Khongsai.
