Imphal, December 29 (NNN): Five hill based social organisations today submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh urging him to initiate appropriate action against Kh Irabot, SE of State PWD saying that the engineer had misappropriated and swindled the ACA funds meant for Senapati, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Chandel and Sadar Hills.

The memorandum copy of which was made available to this Network signed by Movement for Tribal Peoples Rights, Manipur (MTPRM), Sadar Hills Youth Union (SHYU), All Colleges Tribal Students Organisations, Manipur (ACTSOM), Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) stated that they had submitted the memorandum to the Chief Minister today.

The memorandum mentioned that various works had been taken up under ACA programmes in the hill districts except in Churachandpur under the charge of State PWD SE Irabot but crores of rupees had been drawn without executing works.

It added that if at all some works were executed they were not done satisfactorily.

The memorandum cited the ongoing impasse of the Tamenglong district ACA funds alleged to be have been mis-utilised.

Regarding the ongoing tussle between the Tamei MLA Z Mangaibou and Irabot (SE), the five organisations accused the engineer of twisting the whole episode saying that MLA Z Mangaibou never attempted to kill anyone.
