Imphal, December 29:
Three Kuki outfits have come together under the banner of the Kuki National Council and have subsequently decreed that until and unless the KNA stops being an agent of the Indian security force they will be treated as pariahs.
Announcing this during the raising day of the Kuki Revolutionary Army somewhere at Sadar Hills today, its commanding officer Maj Max said that out of the 8 Kuki armed outfits, three, KRA, UKLF and KNF (S) have come under the Kuki National Council.
Other than the KNA all the other Kuki armed outfits are welcome to join the KNC, he added.
Elaborating Max said that KNA is an agent of the Indian Government and works along with the Indian security force.
If the KNA wants to join the KNC then they should first snap ties with the Indian security force, he asserted.
There is no ceasefire agreement between the Kuki armed outfits and the Indian Government though there has been a suspension of operation with the Defence personnel, clarified Max and added that the suspension of operation came into effect from September 6 this year and will be in force till February next year.
It is not yet clear whether the suspension of operation will be extended after February next year or not, he said and added that the suspension of operation was taken up to ensure peace amongst the Kuki people.
Max also conveyed his greetings to the people on the occasion of the raising day of the KRA and informed that the day was also observed in four Bn Hqs of the outfit.
