Imphal, May 26:
All Tribal Students' Union Manipur has threatened to resume its agitation without any further notice to protest the State Govt's failure to meet the union's demand for extra medical PG seats for the tribal students.
In a statement, ATSUM asst gen secy Thomas Taishya lamented that the State Govt had been depriving its extra quota of reserved seats for the last 9/10 years by deliberately hiding an order meant for publication in the official gazette.
Stating that ATSUM's agitation was suspended following the verbal assurance given by the Chief Minister regarding the matter, Thomas said that the union has no option but to resume the agitation as the Govt has failed to convert its assurances into concrete action.
In another statement ATSUM has also threatened to launch various agitations if the State Govt fails to take a decision after studying the report submitted by the judicial inquiry set up to probe the killing of three Kuki Students before May 31.
