Organisations under Tamei subdivision in Tamenglong district have expressed unhappiness over the act of Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for cancelling his proposed visit to Tamei on May 23 to inaugurate 33/11KV power station and the District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) centre.
In a press note issued by Tamei Head Quarter Authority chairman N.Pouken said that the people of Tamei area had been waiting eagerly to welcome the visit of the Chief Minister on May-23 but Ibobi Singh had disappointed the public of the area by canceling his trip.
The release said that when the people of the area learnt of the proposed visit of Singh to Tamei, they were extremely happy expecting that the CM who is the �guardian� of the state would look into the plights of the area and subsequently address their woes but their hopes were dashed.
The release further said that a good number of village chairmen under Tamei subdivision along with their respective youth clubs had conglomerated at Tamei to welcome the Chief Minster but the people had been immensely disappointed by the cancellation of the trip.
Tamei sub-divsion has immensely improved ever since Z.Mangaibou became the MLA of the area although many things are yet to be improved.
