Imphal, May 26:
Thanks to non-reliability of the postal services in Manipur, another State native has missed a lifetimes opportunity and is today forced to think twice before opting for a career if there is involvement of postal services in the matter.
The latest to join an unending list of missed-opportunity to appear at competitive examination is one Leivon George s/o Leivon Lenpu Kom of Qtr No 38/II C-Block, Lamphel who was waiting for his admit card to appear in the All india Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination 2005 scheduled on May 8.The 17 year old George had been patiently waiting for the postman to deliver the admit card and as the same did not reach him even on the exam date inquired at Lamphel post office the next day.
To his surprise three admit cards, including his own, issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education were found lying at the post office.
Irony of the matter is, the post office had stamped the admit cards receipt date as April 4, 2005 but did not care to deliver them at the right address for over a month.
