Imphal, August 01 2010:
Troops of 31 Assam Rifles at Khudengthabi on the Imphal-Moreh section of the NH-39 apprehended thee foreigners entering the state illegally on July 30 last, at about 6 pm.
The apprehended Myanmar nationals who were detained for entering without any valid documents were identified as Lairopiang (42) son of Thantuama, Chonghlupui (52) wife of Lairopiang and Vanlalnunzira (12) son of Lairopiang, they were from Pingkhung, Kalemyo district of Myanmar.
They were handed over to Moreh Police station, statement of IGAR (South) said.
On the other hand, two activists, one each of KYKL (MDF) and KCP(MC) were apprehended by the police commandos and security forces from different places.
The KYKL(MDF) activist was identified as Pangambam Boynao @ Nanao (20) son of P Tomba of nongbrang village was apprehended by a team of Thoubal police commandos in a joint operation with 15 Assam Rifles in an operation at Nongbrang area.
He is working in the finance section of the group, said a statement of the additional SP, Thoubal district, Jogeshchandra.
Imphal west district also apprehended a KCP (MC) activist from Lamphel Sana Keithel area yesterday at about 9.10 pm.
He has been identified as Moirangthem Manglem (34) son of M Ito of Lamphel Sanakeithel.
He involved in serving demand letters of KCP (MC)-KK Nganba group, a statement of the Senior SP, L Kailun said today.
