The BRTF authority has assured Chief Minister O Ibobi that the repairing work on the Mao to Maram stretch of NH-39 will be completed by March next year, during a meeting chaired by the CM to discuss the sloppy conditions of NH-39 today.
Attended by the Works Minister, Works Commissioner, PWD Chief Engineer and Commandant of 153 BRTF, the meeting discussed at length the poor conditions of NH-39 with the Chief Minister issuing the necessary instructions to speed up the repairing and developmental works on the highway, said a reliable source.
As the 25 kms stretch between Mao and Maram falls under the jurisdiction of the BRTF, the Commandant of the 153 BRTF assured the Chief Minister that repairing work of the said stretch would be completed by March next year.
The Works Minister also assured that the necessary work from Maram to Imphal would be completed by December this year and the stretch would be handed over to the BRO.
