AMIDST CONDEMNATIONS and criticisms pouring in from different organizations following the incident of setting ablaze of a passenger bus wherein two passengers were charred to dead at Loharijan in Assam by the Kuki Liberation Organisation/Kuki Liberation Army (KLO/KLA), trouble continues along the National Highway-39 with latest report of abduction of three freight truck drivers by suspected Kuki militants on Sunday.
According to a highly reliable sources, the incident took took place on October 26 .
Further, the sources revealed that the drivers were abducted for failing to pay annual taxes to a particular outfit.
The registration numbers of the trucks have been identified as NL07A-7976, MN02-6366 and MN061-0263 .
Meanwhile, condemnations have poured in from various organizations of the state regarding the incident of October 23 wherein a passenger bus was set ablaze killing two passengers on the spot.
A press release by P Lupheng, secretary, information and publicity, Kuki Inpi Manipur strongly condemned the act and stated that the Kuki Inpi will never condone such act of terror by any underground group who takes to arm in the name of Kuki people and condemned it in the strongest term.
While urging necessary steps are taken by the government to book the culprits, the Kuki Inpi also condemned the blast at Ragailong which killed many and left many crippled for life.
The Pangal Students' Organization, Manipur also strongly condemned the incident of October 23 and termed it as a work of terrorists.
The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) while strongly condemning the act supported the agitation of the Inter State Bus Associations that has decided to go on a strike on October 29 .
On the other hand, the Zeliangrong Baudi ( Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) also strongly condemned the act and termed it as the act of terrorists.
The Baudi also urged the government to probe a judicial investigation in the case and book the culprits.
